I am delighted to share some exciting news with you!!

In partnership with Hinkletown Sewing, I will be opening a fully equipped education center—a welcoming place to learn, create, share, and discover.

​

This new 3,000-square-foot facility will feature nine BERNINA Q-Series longarm machines in a range of configurations, including a Q 24 on a PRO Frame, a Q 16 PLUS with a hoop frame, sit-down models, and frames equipped with Q-Matic. These machines will be available for you to practice, learn, and explore. I will offer a variety of classes and sessions designed to support different interests and experience levels. You do not need to own a BERNINA longarm—or any longarm—to participate. Owners of all longarm brands, as well as anyone who simply wants to try longarm quilting, are welcome.

The Sewing Academy will also offer a variety of sewing classes beyond longarm quilting. As a Studio 180 Design Certified Instructor, I look forward to providing many opportunities to explore those techniques as well. Interested in making a ByAnnie quilted bag? We can do that, too. I also welcome your ideas for future classes and programs.  The space will have a large classroom area for you to bring your own machine and get set up and be comfortable.

We envision “The Birdhouse” as a vibrant, welcoming community where people can connect, share experiences, and learn together. Join us for “Coffee Talks” to discuss common challenges, exchange ideas, and celebrate successes. We would also love to see your completed projects—sharing them in person makes the experience even more meaningful.
